Central Senior Tucker Melton Commits to Bowling Green State University
CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL'S TUCKER MELTON WILL BE PLAYING COLLEGE FOOTBALL FOR BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY
6’2 220 pound 3 star quarterback Tucker Melton has a list of schools he could play football for, but he’s decided to play up north in the MAC.
That decision came as a surprise to some of those around him. “It shocked me with him going to Bowling Green, I’m not going to lie because he had really good offers closer to home,” said Jamey Dubose, Central football head coach. “We’re proud of him and now I’ve becoming a bowling green fan.”
“I have such a good relationship with all the coaches there. I’ve been talking with them since the day they offered me. They’re sure they want me, I feel I can play early,” says Melton.
Melton say’s he is 100% committed to Bowling Green and can now focus on his last season at Central.
“It feels good, my phone’s not blowing up everyday, I get to focus on my guys here,” says Melton. “This is my family so I’m trying to put everything I can into them and try to get the city another state championship.”
The Red Devils season starts on August 23rd when they take on Hoover high school in Montgomery.
