Less Active Wednesday

Not Completely Rain-Free

In the wake of Tuesday’s heavy rain, things will tend to be less active overall.   That said, there will be an occasional thunderstorm with a hard downpour and gusty winds, but it will not be widespread.   Muggy weather will remain the mainstay of the forecast, and hotter weather will also return.   In the short term, you may want to give yourself a few extra minutes to arrive at your destination early Tuesday morning due to low clouds and fog.

Temperatures by this weekend will soar into the mid-90s, and the heat index will top out in excess of 100 for a few days in-a-row.   Little to no thunderstorm activity is on the schedule for this weekend and early next week, so the pool and sprinklers may be just what the doctor ordered.   So, although we’ve been hot and it will get hotter again, the official Summer Solstice is this Friday at 11:54am edt.   Enjoy!
