Mortgage Free House Donated to U.S. Navy Veteran

The House was Donated by the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals in Partnership with Bank of America

A very deserving Navy veteran received a mortgage free house Thursday in Columbus!

The house was donated by the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals in partnership with Bank of America. U.S. Navy veteran Wally Ray served from 1981-1987. He is a single father to his adopted son, and sole guardian and care giver for his disabled brother.

In August 2012, Bank of America announced a three-year commitment to make available up to 1,000 properties to nonprofit organizations and local government programs that provide homes for military veterans, according to Bank of America.

To date, Bank of America has donated more than 2,300 houses.
