New 9/11 Victim Identified By Medical Examiner
NEW YORK MEDICAL EXAMINER IDENTIFIES NEW VICTIM FROM WORLD TRADE CENTER DISASTER
(CNN) – Officials in New York identified another victim of from the 9/11 terror attacks Monday.
The medical examiner’s office is not releasing the victim’s name, but say the remains recovered in 2013 belong to a man.
DNA testing was used to confirm his identity.
40% of the people reported missing after the World Trade Center towers collapsed still have not been identified.
This marks the first time a new victim has been identified since last July.
In all, 2,753were reported missing at the site after September 11th.
No remains have been found for more than 1,100 victims; that’s 40% of those who died.
