American Airlines Extends 737 Max Cancellations

AMERICAN AIRLINES EXTENDS CANCELLATIONS OF BOEING 737 MAX FLIGHTS THROUGH SEPTEMBER 3

(CNN) – American Airlines says 115 flights will be canceled per day through September 3rd.

This is to accommodate the grounded Boeing 737 Max planes.

Initially, American Airlines had canceled all flights using those jets until August 19th, but they’ve now extended that until September 3rd.

The entire Boeing 737 Max fleet has been grounded since March after a software issue caused two fatal crashes killing 346 people.

Boeing says it’s been fixed, but federal agencies still need to sign off on it.
