Courtney Upshaw to be Inducted into 2019 Wiregrass Hall of Fame

UPSHAW'S EXTENSIVE PLAYING CAREER IN FOOTBALL EARNS HIM SPOT IN WIREGRASS HALL OF FAME

Former Eufaula high school and now current free agent in the NFL Courtney Upshaw found out today that he will be inducted into the 2019 Wiregrass Hall of Fame.

In his junior season at Eufaula high school, Upshaw helped lead Eufaula to their first state championship appearance since 1981.

He went on to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide and upon his senior season was drafted in the second round of the NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens.

He has since played defensive end for the Ravens, Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets.

For Courtney this award ranks at the top.

“One of the first major accomplishments for me in a sense. You know I was an All American and the Super Bowl ring and championship, they mean a lot but this is more big. This is bigger than all of those accomplishments,” says Courtney Upshaw.
