Soggy Setup Through Early Next Week

Strong Storms and Isolated Severe Weather Possible

Get ready to get wet!

We are into a stretch of unsettled weather that will stay with us through early next week as an upper level trough slides across the southeast. We will tap into ample moisture up from the Gulf filtered in by a slow building cutoff low out of the west.  Expect several waves of showers with heavy rainfall at times through the weekend. Thunderstorms are also likely. Some of these storms have the potential to turn strong with isolated severe weather not out of the question. Rainfall totals through Monday night will hit between 1-3 inches with locally higher amounts possible.

Daytime highs will hover around seasonal to slightly below normal through the forecast period. Nightly lows will generally remain near or slightly above average.
