Warm Up Continues, Isolated Showers and Thunderstorms Today and Friday
Hot Weekend Coming
A weak frontal boundary pushes though the region today and could trigger a few isolated showers and maybe a rumble of thunder or two this afternoon as daytime highs get warmer. The front will move south out of the area tonight. High pressure will set up behind the front, but flow on the back end will bring moisture up from the Gulf, so humidity will be on the rise along with the hotter temperatures.
Daytime highs this weekend will be running up to 10 degrees above the norm with our area trying to hit the low 90s. Because of daytime heating and the introduction of moisture, would not be surprising to see a shower or thunderstorm pop up in the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday.
Wrapping up the weekend, there will be an upper level disturbance approaching from the west, so adding a slight chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms on Sunday night into Monday.
TODAY- Partly cloudy with and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 80s.
TONIGHT- Partly cloudy with isolated showers early. Lows in the mid 60s.
TOMORROW- Partly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s.
