Warmer Tuesday, Heat Coming
90s for the weekend
We can expect mostly sunny skies this afternoon with highs pushing into the upper 70s to low 80s as we begin a warming trend moving forward. We will stay dry, but a disturbance riding down along the northwesterly flow will enter the region today and trigger a few showers and maybe a thunderstorm, but this should stay north of our viewing area.
As that disturbance pushes a weak frontal boundary southeastward through our area, there could be a few spotty showers late tonight into Thursday morning but, with not much moisture or forcing to tap into, the chance for rain will stay low-end.
Once the front passes, an upper-level ridge of high pressure will build in behind it introducing dry and hot conditions heading into the weekend. Highs Friday through Sunday are expected to be up to 10 degrees above the norm with nightly lows staying around average. Although not anticipated, there could be the odd shower or thunderstorm due to daytime heating.
TODAY- Mostly sunny with highs in the low 80s.
TONIGHT- Partly cloudy with spotty showers late. Lows in the low 60s.
TOMORROW- Partly cloudy with spotty showers. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
