Memory Care Cottage Opens in Columbus

New Assisted Living Helps Those with Dementia

WLTZ FIRST NEWS is proud to be a partner with the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter and we are thrilled to announce the opening of the new Memory Care Cottage at Savannah Grand of Columbus just off Williams Road. Yesterday, they celebrated with a ribbon cutting and open house. The Memory Care Cottage will specialize in assisting those who have been diagnosed with dementia and other Alzheimer related illnesses. Some highlights at Savannah Grand include the two-story lobby with a flowing oak stairway, spacious common areas for relaxing and even a movie theater.

Currently there are 140,000 Georgian’s living with Alzheimer’s and that number is expected to increase by almost 40% over the next five years.
