Celebs Invest In ‘Impossible Foods’
SERENA WILLIAMS, JAY-Z AND KATY PERRY ARE INVESTING IN IMPOSSIBLE FOODS
(CNN) – Celebrities are joining the impossible burger bandwagon.
The company announced on Monday its list of investors, which now include Jay-Z, Katy Perry, Serena Williams, Jaden Smith, Trevor Noah and Zedd.
The company says it has raised another $300-million.
That brings the total amount raised to more than $750-million.
“Impossible Foods” is hoping the additional funds will lead to a turnaround in its supply problems.
This year the business reported it has been running out of product because of a spike in demand .
Its CFO says “Impossible foods” now plans to hire more workers for its California factory.
It’s also looking at opening more facilities.
Impossible currently only sells to restaurants, but plans to launch in retail stores this year.
