Stormy Period Ahead

Up & Down Humidity

It will be a relatively quiet start to the weekend, and likely to end it as well.   However, there is a time frame in-between, likely Saturday evening, where severe thunderstorms are possible.  Tornadic activity is not likely this time, but damaging wind gusts and hail are concerns.

In the near term, Saturday will be a warm, humid day.   While there can be a pop-up thunderstorm anytime in the afternoon Saturday, a broken squall line of storms that can trigger strong winds and hail should hold off until near, or after sunset.

A weak cool front nearby Sunday may be enough to keep a shower and thunderstorm threat ongoing, but a dip in humidity is likely Sunday night into early next week.
