Annual Senior Wellness Walk and Fair

Put On By The River Valley Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging

May is Older Americans Month and was originally designated as “Senior Citizens Month” in May 1963 by President John F. Kennedy.

Every President since Kennedy has issued a formal proclamation or before the month of May asking that the entire nation pay tribute in some way to older persons in their communities.

The 2019 theme for Older Americans Month is ‘Connect, Create, Contribute’.

The River Valley Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging will celebrate Older Americans Month with its Annual Senior Wellness Walk and Fair on May 3 at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center in the North Hall.

With 42 vendors, 17 sponsors, 5 Partners, entertainment and over 75 door prizes, there is something for everyone!

The free event starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at noon.

Free T-Shirts for the first 250 to register on the day of the event. Join us for Line Dancing, Karaoke and more!
