Warm Week Ahead; Chance of Storms by Weekend
FIRST 90 DEGREE DAY OF THE YEAR LIKELY THIS WEEK
After a mild start with temperatures in the 55-60 degree range, highs today will be in the middle to upper 80s with full sunshine.
Temperatures will only increase as we go through the week. Tuesday may bring the first 90 degree day to much of the area, and highs are expected to hover around the 90 degree mark through the weekend as well. Morning lows will be mild in the 60s due to the increased moisture with southerly flow out of the Gulf of Mexico.
A rogue shower or thunderstorm may dot the landscape by late week, but a more meaningful chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms will enter the picture by Friday and Saturday. At this time, no severe weather is expected.
Current indications are the very warm weather pattern will continue into next week as well, with a slight chance for showers and storms.
