Warmer Afternoons Ahead
Severe Storm Threat Later This Week
A quiet Tuesday night, weather-wise, will give way to a spectacular Wednesday. If you have any outdoor plans, you can most certainly keep them! Do keep in mind there can be some haze from prescribed burns in the areas.
It is also Spring severe weather season, so we know that this tranquil weather will not last. Higher humidity will creep back into the picture Thursday. At the same time, a large cold front will be moving across the Southern Plains toward the Gulf Coast states. A gusty breeze will develop in advance of this front Thursday afternoon, but dry weather will prevail until Thursday night. For now, the main risk is for damaging winds and hail Thursday night into Friday morning. However, a tornado cannot be ruled out. Stay tuned!
Hit/miss showers will be leftover in the wake of this cold front Friday afternoon, along with a cold, gusty wind.
A stray afternoon shower cannot be ruled out Saturday, but it’s the cold wind that will continue to be memorable.
Easter Sunday will start off chilly, but the afternoon will be warm enough to melt your Easter candy!
