Still a Chance For Strong Storms Today, A Brief Break Coming
Strong winds the main threat today
The low that has been helping push showers and thunderstorms through our area will slide across Alabama and make its way into Georgia by this afternoon. Isolated strong storms will be possible today as the line moves east. Rain moves out by tonight and we can expect a respite from the unsettled weather Wednesday and Thursday, but it makes its return as we head into the weekend.
Our next storm system puts a chance for thunderstorms back into the forecast starting Thursday night with showers and thunderstorms on and off through Sunday. Some of these storms could turn strong with gusty winds and hail the main concerns. We’ll have a better grip on the possibility of these storms as we approach the weekend. It is definitely something we will need to keep an eye on.
TODAY- Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Highs in the mid to upper 70s.
TONIGHT- Isolated showers early then clearing overnight with lows in the mid to upper 50s.
TOMORROW- Sunny with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
