Warm & Windy Thursday, Rain & Thunderstorms Coming
Strong Thunderstorms Possible
Southeasterly flow continues to bring in moisture rich air to the region. This warm air will also help keep today’s highs and tonight’s lows above normal. A developing low moving from northwest to northeast will sling a warm front through this afternoon with a cold front bringing up the rear right behind it by Friday morning/afternoon.
As the warm sector between the two front makes its way across the area, we can expect isolated showers this afternoon turning more scattered this evening with isolated strong thunderstorms also possible. Showers and thunderstorms will hang on into late Friday morning with a few showers still pushing through in the afternoon. High pressure takes over behind the cold front so we will be dry and cooler for the weekend and into the middle of next week.
TODAY: Isolated showers this afternoon under mostly cloudy skies. Highs in the mid to upper 70s. Windy with gusts up to 25 mph.
TONIGHT: Showers and thunderstorms tonight. A few strong storms are possible. Lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. Windy with gusts up to 25 mph.
TOMORROW: Showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid to upper 60s.
