Beyonce, Jay-Z To Be Honored By GLAAD
JAY-Z AND BEYONCÉ ARE GETTING A GLAAD AWARD LATER THIS MONTH
(CNN) – Beyonce and Jay-Z are getting a big thank you from the LGBTQ community.
On Monday the GLAAD media advocacy organization announced the power couple will be honored at the organization’s awards ceremony this month.
The Carter’s are scheduled to get GLAAD’s Vanguard Award, that shines a light on people who made a “significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people.”
Among those who received the award before: Cher, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez.
GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis released a statement saying, “Beyonce and Jay-Z are global icons and passionate defenders of human rights and acceptance for all people.”
