Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital Offering Free Colorectal Screening Kits
March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and Piedmont Columbus Regional is offering free colorectal cancer screening kits for the fourth consecutive year.
Colorectal cancer is the fourth most common type of cancer diagnosed and the second leading cause of death from cancer in the United States.
Colorectal cancer screening saves lives. The best way to prevent colorectal cancer is to get screened regularly starting at age 50. One in three adults over 50 still don’t get screened as recommended. In the last three years, Piedmont Columbus Regional has helped over 300 individuals with free screenings.
