CDC Reports Second Wave Of Severe Flu Cases

CDC SAYS FLU SEASON MAY NOT HAVE PEAKED YET

Des Moines-Ames, IA (KCCI) – Flu activity is still high across the U.S.

The Centers for Disease Control says the season may not have peaked yet but there’s a second wave of severe infections impacting some states.

According to the latest weekly report, between October 1st and March 2nd, there were as many as 26.3 million flu illnesses.

But hospitalization rates are a lot lower than last season.

Health experts advise everyone six months and older to get their flu shot.
