Pederson, Kiffin, Williams Highlight UGA Coaches Clinic

The annual University of Georgia Coaches Clinic has become the premiere event for high school and middle school coaches from across the country due to the outstanding speakers and unique access inside the UGA football program.  Once again, UGA Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has secured an all-star cast for this year’s clinic.

In 2018, coaches from 28 different states attended the clinic to listen to speakers, watch practice, participate in chalk talks and attend the UGA position meetings with the players and coaches.  This year, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin and New York Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will highlight the 2019 clinic, which is scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, March 28-30.

Pederson led the Eagles to the 2018 Super Bowl and the world championship. Prior to taking the head coaching job at FAU, Kiffin was previously the offensive coordinator at Alabama and the head coach for USC, Tennessee and the Oakland Raiders.  Williams has coached for the NFL’s Oilers, Titans, Bills, Redskins, Jaguars, Rams, Saints and Browns.

Participants will enhance their knowledge of all aspects of the game during the clinic by spending up to seven hours visiting with the UGA coaching staff.  They will have the unique opportunity to be on the field for two spring practice sessions for a close-up look at on-field demonstrations and position specific drills.

The clinic begins on Thursday, March 28 with registration, practice, dinner and break-out session chalk talks with the UGA coaching staff. The position specific chalk talks are the perfect venue for sharing ideas on technique, philosophy and scheme.

On Friday, March 29, clinic attendees can attend unit meetings with the UGA coaches and players and also attend break-out sessions led by Williams, Kiffin and Pederson.  The clinic will conclude after practice on Saturday, March 30.

The entire UGA coaching staff, as well as the directors of Strength & Conditioning, Recruiting, Operations, Sports Medicine and Player Development, will be available to answer questions.

The UGA clinic is the ideal setting for middle school and high school coaches to socialize, “talk ball,” and enjoy great food with college and NFL coaches.
