More Women Surviving Breast Cancer

Many more women are surviving breast cancer.

Finally some good news in the fight against breast cancer.

The latest U-S estimates show that more than half a million deaths from the disease have been avoided over the past three decades.

Researchers credit the wide use of mammograms and improvements in breast cancer treatments for saving women’s lives.

However, only about half of women over 40 get regular mammograms.

These findings come from the University of Colorado, Duke University and the University of Michigan.
