Auburn City Councilors Holding First Diversity Task Force Meeting

The City of Auburn’s diversity task force will hold its first meeting Thursday.

It’s led by councilman Steven Dixon and councilwoman Connie Taylor.

The task force will help those who feel not included in the Auburn community.

They’ve met with Auburn University’s Department of Inclusion and Diversity for ideas.

City staff said some might feel like they’ve fallen through the cracks and can’t get help.

Over the next couple of months they want to meet with different groups and let the public have its say.

The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. CST. It’ll be in the city meeting room at 122-B Tichenor Ave.
