Chambers Academy Basketball Looks to Avenge Last Years Final Four Loss
THE REBELS ENTIRE BASKETBALL TEAM ALREADY KNOWS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WIN A STATE TITLE
The Chambers Academy basketball team has some unfinished business that they are looking to take care of this year.
Last season the Rebels made it to the final four of the state tournament and fell just short of their title dreams, but this entire team already knows what it’s like to when a state title considering every player on the roster also played football for the Rebels.
This past season the football team was crowned state champions after 3 straight years of losing in the title game.
Head football coach and basketball coach Jason Allen talked on the team staying focused to lift another trophy.
“It’s a transition from football to basketball. We’re a small school so we have to share athletes with our sports,” Says Jason Allen. “I think winning is a habit, just like losing can be a habit. These guys expect to win in anything they do rather it be football or basketball. I feel like it transitioned well over to basketball and we have confidence that we can compete with anybody”
