Women Invited To Wear White To State Of Union
WOMEN INVITED TO WEAR WHITE TO TRUMP'S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
(CNN) – Women are being urged to wear white to president Trump’s State of the Union Address next week.
The House Democratic women’s working group has invited female members of both parties to wear white as a symbol of solidarity.
In 2017, the same group coordinated Democratic women wearing white to Trump’s joint address to Congress.
The chair of the working group, Lois Frankel, says women wearing suffragette white is “a declaration that women will not go back on our hard-earned rights.”
Frankel pointed out there have never been as many Democratic women serving in Congress as there are today.
