Rain Coming… Will There Be Snow?
Another big blast of cold air arrives Tuesday
Winds up from the Gulf will put us in the mid 50s to low 60s today, but do not get used to the mild temperatures as yet another cool down is on the way. Expect rain on Tuesday especially in the morning, but a strong blast of cold air from the north could change some of that rain over to snow or a rain/snow mix for those in our viewing area north and west of I-85. Little to no accumulation is expected if that change does occur.
By Tuesday afternoon, the cold/dry airmass will be in full effect with daytime highs not getting out of the 40s. Overnight lows will be below freezing Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, so icing of the roads will be very possible during the Wednesday morning commute. Chilly daytime highs and cold nighttime lows will stay with us through Thursday before a milder airmass steadily warms us up Friday into the weekend.
TODAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s.
TONIGHT: Isolated showers late under mostly cloudy skies with lows in the upper 30 to mid 40s.
TOMORROW: Morning rain likely with snow flurries possible to our north. Highs in the mid to upper 40s. Windy with gusts up to 20 mph.
