Heavy Rain Nears
Potential For Isolated Flash Flooding
Our next storm continues to show signs of being a bully. It’s a large feature that currently occupies much of the central part of the nation. A broad southerly flow of moist air from the Gulf of Mexico is developing in advance of this storm. That will no doubt aid in the development of heavy rain and thunderstorms later Wednesday and Wednesday night. Before then, there will be a sprinkle around town tonight, then hit/miss showers Wednesday. Gusty warm winds Wednesday will give way to gusty cold winds Thursday.
Sunshine will return after a cloudy start Thursday, but the sun will do no justice with the latest push of cold air.
Friday and Saturday will be more tranquil, but it will remain below average in the temperature department.
After a brief return to milder weather Monday, gusty winds and another cold front on Tuesday will be just what Winter wants.
