Thunderstorms, Wind & A Big Temp Change

Cold Start To Next Week

Stormy weather returns to the Chattahoochee Valley for part of the weekend.   Fog, low clouds and a spotty shower early Saturday will give way to a gusty, warm wind and some late afternoon and evening thunderstorms.   Isolated damaging wind gusts cannot be ruled out with these thunderstorms as they rocket across the valley.

A turn to colder weather is on tap in the wake of this storm for Sunday.   Although a sprinkle may linger for a few early Sunday morning, it’s a gusty wind that enhances the cold.   Temperatures will likely struggle in the 40s despite sun returning in the afternoon.  The wind will make it feel like the 30s!

MLK Day, Monday will turn out more tranquil with sunshine, but it will be a frigid start.

A quick rebound in the temperature department is expected by the middle of next week as another storm comes at us in two separate waves; one Wednesday afternoon/night, and another Thursday.    Enjoy the weekend, and stay safe.
