Central High Football Program Presented with Congressional Record

FOLLOWING A 7A STATE TITLE STATE REPRESENTATIVE MIKE ROGERS RECOGNIZED THE RED DEVILS IN A BIG WAY

The Central high school football team was recognized by Alabama state representative Mike Rogers for their undefeated season and 7A state title.

The team was given a Congressional Record in honor of the state championship.

As Central head football coach Jamey DuBose stated, this is his first time as a coach to be awarded a Congressional Record for winning a state title.

Bringing the team back together today brought back fond memories of the win.

“I told the seniors, we met right before the Congressman got here, and it was kind of like I said, ‘hey man this is just another opportunity to get together and share moments’ and I guess that’s the ones you really get excited about being around again and bringing back memories,” says coach DuBose.

“It was great, like just going through all the tough times, all the practices, all the hard work, and then for it to be able to pay off, it’s just like a fairy tale. You can’t ask for anything better,” says Central senior DJ Rias.
