Half of Americans have Back Pain

Nearly half, 45-percent of adults experience some type of back pain.
That’s according to a new Canadian study of nearly 13-thousand people.
One in five reported constant pain and one in three developed back pain over time.
Both of these groups tended to have more disability , depression and medication use than those with occasional pain.
One in five people with back pain did recover but many continued to use opioids.
