Roundabout Proposed for Auburn Intersection Prone to Accidents

A roundabout might be the answer to an intersection in Auburn prone to accidents.

The Alabama Department of Transportation has been eyeing Farmville Rd. and N. College.

This intersection only has a flashing caution light and over the years it’s caused accidents.

ALDOT proposed a roundabout would work more efficiently than a traffic light.

The state owns Farmville Rd., so the choice of what to do with that intersection is not the city’s.

But, Mayor Ron Anders said whatever will make that intersection safer, he supports.

This roundabout will also not be constructed for at least a few more years.
