The Cold Returns, A Few Freezing Nights Ahead
Showers expected for the weekend
The cold air mass is settling in across the region bringing much cooler temperatures and dry conditions for the next few days. A tight surface gradient will spawn wind gusts up to 25mph today. We will shoot for near seasonal highs this afternoon, but we’ll wake up on Thursday to temperatures between 5-10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
We can expect a healthy dose of sunshine through Friday before our next system pushes in and gives us a cloudy weekend with a chance for showers throughout especially Saturday night into Sunday. Highs will stay below normal into early next week at least.
TODAY– Sunny and cooler with highs in the low to mid 50s. Winds NW 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
TONIGHT- Clear and cold with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s. Winds NW 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.
TOMORROW- More sunshine with highs in the mid to upper 40s near 50. Winds N 5-10 mph.
