Austin Highlights Day One of UGA Diving Invite

University of Georgia junior diver McKensi Austin highlighted the first day of the 2019 UGA Diving Invitational with a top-10 finish on the 3-meter springboard on Friday afternoon.

The native of Castle Rock, Colorado qualified for finals with the sixth-best score in preliminaries at 295.85. She followed in finals with a 293.55 for ninth-place overall. ​

She was joined by Freida Lim, Ellie Crump, Addison Kelly and Kelliann Howell in preliminaries, who finished 16th(261.50), 32nd(213.50), 36th(196.50) and 39th(186.10) out of 43 divers.

The Georgia men competed in the 1-meter, led by Zach Allen at 16th(275.65), Josh Getty at 28th(201.25) and Hudson Coldren at 29th(191.00) out of 30 divers.

The Bulldog divers return to the pool on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the men on 3-meter and the women on 1-meter. Finals follow immediately after. Sunday will feature platform diving from both men and women at 10 a.m.
