Georgia Adds Josey Walker to Signing Class


University of Georgia equestrian head coach Meghan Boenig has announced the addition of Josey Walker to the 2019 signing class.

“Josey is a dedicated and passionate equestrian who is valued particularly for her work ethic and kindness,” Boenig said. “We are excited to add this wonderful teammate from Georgia to the 2019-20 roster as her core values parallel the Georgia Way.”

Walker, a native of Rome, Georgia, place fifth at the Southeast Maclay Regionals in addition to a 10th place finish at the JHF Older Large Junior Hunter Classic and 28th at the Hunterdon Cup in 2018. In 2017 she was the GHJA Hunter Equitation 15-17 Champion and USHJA Zone 4 Hunter Equitation 15-17 Champion.  Walker was also named the USHJA Zone 4 Childrens Hunter Champion and the GHJA Childrens Hunter Champion in 2016.  Furthermore, Walker is a Tim Tebow Foundation volunteer and member of the National Honor Society.

Walker joins eleven riders who previously signed with UGA, including McKenzie Aebi, Ceci Bresch, Kennedy Bryant, Grace Himes, Tori Kendle, Caitlin Lyons, Bay Noland-Armstrong, Sophia Pilla, Ada Rohan, Julia Stone, and Hazel Taylor.
