Flooding at The Chattahoochee Riverwalk in Columbus

The Columbus Riverwalk remained closed as the waters of the Chattahoochee river continue to cause flooding along parts of the walk.

The Columbus Riverwalk remained closed this afternoon January 2nd 2019 as the waters of the Chattahoochee River continue to cause minor flooding along parts of the walk.

The water is now back down below the flood stage of 27 feet and continues to subside.

However, a Flash Flood Watch will be in effect starting Thursday night for a good portion of the WLTZ First News viewing area as more rain is on the way.
