Roseanne Barr To Address Israeli Parliament
ROSEANNE BARR TO ADDRESS ISRAELI'S PARLIAMENT IN JANUARY
(CNN) – Roseanne Barr announced Monday that she will address the Israeli parliament, the Knesset in January.
That’s according to ‘The Hill,’ which reports that celebrity Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s world values network organization is organizing Barr’s trip.
Her visit comes ahead of early elections in Israel set for April.
Barr says she wants to further her knowledge of Jewish and Israeli history as a “lover of Israel.”
She plans to speak out in opposition to the Palestinian movement to boycott, divest and sanction Israel, which she calls anti-Semitic.
Barr has been out of the spotlight since ABC canceled the reboot of her namesake show due to her racist tweets targeting former aide to president Obama, Valerie Jarrett.
