Dry Wednesday, Rain Returns Thursday

Strong Storms Possible Friday and Saturday

No records today, but daytime highs did hit about 6 degrees above the norm as we enjoyed a beautimous Christmas Day and we haven’t hit the warmest temps yet for the week. We’ll stay dry Wednesday, but the weather takes a turn toward the oogie as we roll into Thursday courtesy of low pressure surging toward the region out of the west. While the low looks to push off toward the Midwest, a frontal boundary will usher rain in by Thursday and then thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. Some of those storms could kick up some rather strong weather with damaging winds and heavy rainfall the biggest concern at the moment. 1-2″ with 2.5″ rainfall locally could lead to flash flooding.

We’ll keep an eye on this developing system as it inches closer to our region.

Keep smiling,

Miller
