A Wet, Cold & Windy Friday
Weekend Looks Good
Low pressure will drag a cold front in behind it this afternoon giving us more rain and colder temperatures. Expect several periods of light to moderate rainfall through early afternoon. This system will finally exit the state late afternoon/early evening. Moist air departs and drier air filters in as high pressure builds into the southeast as we head into the weekend. A slight shift in flow from the southwest will introduce some moisture back into the region Christmas Eve into Christmas Day, but we should be rain-free.
Not only will it be colder today, it will also be blustery with gusts over 30mph possible. A Wind Advisory is in effect. Afternoon highs will struggle to get out of the mid to upper 40s.
Quite cold tonight as temperatures could hit the freezing mark for some.
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies for the weekend with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Lows will be in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will see partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.
