CSU Men’s Basketball Heads into Winter Break Looking to Get Back On Track

THE COUGARS ARE ON A THREE GAME LOSING STREAK AHEAD OF PREPARING FOR USC AIKEN

The Columbus State men’s basketball team got off to a hot start this season, but has recently gone on a three game losing streak in conference play.

The most recent loss came at the hands of Francis Marion last night falling 90-85.

CSU now heads into it’s winter break and wont return to the floor until January 5th when they go on the road to take on USC Aiken.

Junior guard Chris Horton and head coach Robert Moore say they aren’t too concerned about the team getting back on their feet.

“I don’t know, in my opinion we are the best team in the conference, plain and simple, but it comes down to we’ve got a whole new year I guess new years resolution is no more losses,” says Horton.

“I really believe that. I think with the talent we have, athleticism, everything, but a lot of these guys are new. We aren’t gelling the way I thought we would by this point in the season. I think we will regroup when the new year starts,” says coach Moore.
