The Next Storm

Christmas Travel Weather

A tranquil night will be had across the Chattahoochee Valley, although a few high clouds will drift through.   While seasonably chilly weather is on the docket, there may be a patch or two of fog toward daybreak, especially across the countryside.

Tuesday will feature sunshine and some high clouds with another mild afternoon; take advantage of it!

Clouds will slowly lower and thicken Wednesday in advance of our next storm.   Said storm is over the Inter-mountain West, and will traverse the southern Plains before grabbing some gulf moisture, and bringing it our way.   Showers will break out Wednesday night with the most amount of rain coming Thursday.   That said, there likely will not be as much rain as the past two storms.

Showers will linger Friday, along with a gusty, cold wind to make for a raw end of the work week, and the official end of the Fall season.   The Winter Solstice is  5:23pm est Friday.   While it will be cold that day, the first weekend of Winter will feature a nice rebound in the temperature department.   Travel around town, including last minute shopping for Christmas will be just fine weather-wise.    Christmas Eve and Christmas Day should follow suit.
