Stormy Weather Ahead
Cold Weather Stays Put
Some high clouds ran in across the valley earlier Thursday, and those clouds will begin to lower and thicken Thursday night. At the same time, a weak cool front will approach from the north before stalling. It’s this front that may trigger a shower in a couple neighborhoods Friday. It will certainly not be a soaking wet setup, but the combination of more clouds and the threat of a shower will keep the chilly stuff hanging around.
The main storm is still out west. It will arrive this weekend, aided by a plethora of gulf moisture. While showers will do the landscape Saturday morning, the lion’s share of rain and any thunderstorm activity will be late Saturday into Sunday morning. Flash flooding can occur in a few locations before the rain tapers to hit/miss showers Sunday afternoon. Cold, gusty winds will follow this storm with the possibility of a rain and snow shower Monday afternoon and night. No accumulation is expected.
