Milder Storms Ahead

Colder Again Next Week

Milder weather returned to the valley Thursday afternoon, and now that clouds are lowering and thickening, we’ll be able to keep that mild weather tonight.

Clouds will continue shroud the sun for most of Friday.  There may even be a passing shower toward I-85 during the first part of the day.

The majority of our next storm will take shape Saturday.   A large storm centered over the Plains will draw plenty of gulf moisture into our region.   While another wave of low pressure will develop near the gulf coast, likely helping to keep severe storms to our south, there will be periods of rain and a thunderstorm throughout the day.

This storm will likely stall across the region Sunday into Monday morning with another shower or thunderstorm on the prowl.   Drier and colder weather will return in its wake for the balance of next week.
