Warming Up

Widespread Frost Tonight

The coldest core of our latest dose of Canadian air is exiting the region.   That said, nearly calm conditions overnight along with only some wispy thin clouds will lead to a widespread frost Thursday morning;  it just won’t be as cold as recent nights.

Clouds will slowly build Thursday and Friday, perhaps leading to a shower in spots toward I-85 at some point Thursday night or Friday.   Nonetheless, a shift in the jet stream to the north will allow milder air to move in.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop Saturday as the axis of our latest cool front inches its way toward the region.   Said front will likely stall, leaving mild air here into early next week.   However, it also allows for additional showers and thunderstorms; more notable Monday as opposed to Sunday and Tuesday.

Drier, colder weather will return for the second half of next week.
