Staying Cold & Windy Tuesday
Good news: Lots of sunshine today.
Bad news: It’s going to be too cold to enjoy it.
The jet slides farther south today allowing even colder air to filter in. On top of that cold air, winds will be quite biting this afternoon with gusts up to 25mph. Highs will stall out in mid 40s to near 50 with wind chills hovering around the upper 30s to low 40s.
Clear, cold and frosty tonight with lows in the mid 20s to near 30. As of this writing, a FREEZE WARNING will be in effect tonight for Clay, Quitman and Randolph counties, but don’t be surprised to see other counties added in.
Sunny and cold Wednesday with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
We’ll slowly warm up as we hit Thursday with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and nights will start to warm up, too. We’ll try to reach the 70s by the end of the weekend.
Forecast stays dry for the work week before moisture slides back in and gives us a chance for showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.
