House of Heroes 100th Ceremony

The Chattahoochee Valley Chapter of the House of Heroes completes their 100th home improvement project for a worthy Columbus military veteran and his wife.

A major milestone is reached in the effort to honor and help our local military veterans.

The Chattahoochee Valley Chapter of the House of Heroes completes their 100th home improvement project for a worthy Columbus military veteran and his wife.

Airman 2nd class Walter Phillips joined the Air Force in 1952 serving for four years.

Because of ailments related to aging, Walter needed some help especially after the roof started leaking in his Columbus home.

House of Heroes helped Walter and his wife Thelma by building a wheelchair ramp along with other improvements including roof repair and painting.

Since 2010 Headquarter Nissan has invested and participated in numerous events such as this in the Columbus area most of which were focused mainly on military organizations and events.
