Colder, Windier & Wetter Weather Ahead
Clear skies will return for a large part of Thanksgiving night. While it will not be as cold as recent nights, it will remain below average, temperature-wise.
A cold front will approach from the north by daybreak on Friday. The change in the pressure associated with that front will trigger a gusty wind. Make that a cold, gusty wind; something to keep in mind if outdoors shopping. Clouds will be quick to develop in the wake of the front; there may even be a shower in a few neighborhoods during the late afternoon or evening. Additional pockets of rain are expected Friday night into the first half of Saturday.
A shift in the wind direction, along with the return of some sun for Saturday afternoon will allow for milder weather. That’s not just around here, but also in Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl.
Sunday will be the warmest day before a cold front arrives Sunday night with the chance of a shower and thunderstorm.
Colder weather is back for the balance of next week.
