Clearing Skies, Beautiful Thanksgiving, Rain Coming for the Weekend
COOL CONDITIONS FOR TURKEY DAY, LATE BLACK FRIDAY MAY SEE SHOWERS
After some isolated showers early in the morning, skies will clear over the area for your Tuesday as a cold front works its way through the area. With cold air advection at work, highs will struggle to reach the upper 50s to lower 60s over most of the area today despite full-on sunshine by late afternoon.
More of the same is on tap for Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day with loads of sun and blue skies and cool temperatures. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s, with highs in the upper 50s to near 60.
Clouds start to increase Friday ahead of a quick-moving storm system that will bring a quick shot of heavy rainfall and perhaps a rumble of thunder or two. Current timing has the heaviest rainfall late Friday night into the early hours of Saturday morning, after high school football and before college football. We’ll refine that timing as the event gets closer later this week.
