Women suffer more than men when dealing with high blood pressure.

In Your Health Minute,

Certain health conditions may be more harmful to the hearts of women than men.

That’s according to a new British study of nearly health a million middle aged adults.

It showed high blood pressure, diabetes and smoking increased the risk of heart attacks in both sexes, but much more so in women.

In fact, high blood pressure alone raised a woman’s risk of heart attack by an extra 83 percent compared to men.
