CRAWFORD COUNTY TORNADO

While Hurricane Michael spared our viewing area from tornadic activity, those just outside the area weren’t as lucky. The Hurricane spawned a tornado Late Wednesday afternoon in Crawford County, Georgia 60 miles from Columbus. Flint River Estates road off of highway 128, Northeast of Taylor County line hit hardest.

Numerous trees were downed, many with their trunks snapped. Power lines also brought down by the storm. The Crawford County EMA reporting seven damaged homes. No one was hurt. The National weather service’s crew will survey damage in the affected areas to determine the storm’s path and strength.
