Michael Exiting Stage East
Clean-Up Operation For Some
Hurricane Michael made it onshore in the panhandle of Florida shortly before 2pm Wednesday as a category 4 storm, packing sustained winds of 155 mph!
The center of the weakened storm is now located east of I-75 in Georgia, and increasing its forward speed, allowing the rain to end from west to east well before daybreak. However, damage from strong winds will make for a clean-up Thursday. Power outages will have to be addressed and flood waters will be receding.
Winds will gust over 30 mph overnight, but from the northwest on the back side of the weakening storm.
Sunshine returns Thursday with a huge dip in humidity. The coolest weather at night since the first week of May will arrive Thursday night and Friday night. The weekend will remain comfortable.
